I hired a Senior Suit and called the hotel to make sure of the late check out option. The person who answered the phone assured me that it was possible, that it cost 40 euros and that it had to be booked the morning of the day of departure. Finally it turns out that when you are already lodged and ask for late check out they charge 200 euros ( 4 times more than what I had been told). I warned the same person who answered the phone that the room was for my wedding night and that if there was an option to buy a bottle of Champagne they would have it ready in the room. He told me that since it was a VIP suite, there was no need to reserve it because there would be a detail in the room. In the end it turned out that the detail was two chocolates. When I complained about these two situations I was told that the courtesy they had done me was to put me in a senior suite, which was the one I had already booked and paid for..., finally they gave me a bottle of Moët but I had to leave the room at the normal time. Very disappointed, I did not expect this kind of service and professionals in this hotel.
-
hotel is super nice. location is perfect, we had a deluxe double room and it had everything you might need (a small detail but very nice: the hotel toiletry kit included a spray shaving gel in the travel format). room had a coffee machine (with several coffee and milk capsules) and a kettle with some tea bags. check in is at three but we arrived at 10 am and staff was super attentive, they offered me several options where I could work until they gave me a room, they accompanied me to the terrace, they gave me the WIFI keys. They gave me a room at 12:30.
The pillows were very thin. I'm used to viscoelastic pillows. It's also true that it didn't even cross my mind to ask if they had a letter of pillows that possibly had it. The pool is very small, impossible to swim, you can only stand like in a Jacuzzi but without bubbles :). The gym is quite poor: just count one exercise bike, two treadmills, an elliptical trainer, a weight machine and an abs bench. The breakfast is super expensive but next to the hotel there are a lot of places where you can have a very good breakfast for half the price.
-
A wonderful place, returning to modernism is priceless! Very good attention, excellent service, as well as cleanliness. It is a hotel with great details in the room, with Chopard products (gel and shampoo), towels, slippers, fine sheets, a thirst for coffee to drink in the room, excellent air conditioning! ... the perfect facilities and an aroma in the corridors that transports you to the past ! What to say about the location ? the BEST location in Passeig de Gracia, near the subway, La Pedrera, Casa Batllo, restaurant area, near the Gracia neighborhood, which is the new "Gothic Quarter" of the city, with shops of young designers and alternative cuisine. . Sublime the Hotel and its decoration .
I must admit that EVERYTHING IS PERFECT, pool is very small, now it is winter, nothing happens, in summer it must collapse. It would be nice, to have a heated indoor pool.
-
I liked the location and design of the hotel.
No such thing.
-
Good location, friendly and helpful staff.
To begin with, the hotel does not take care of the details of a 5-star GL. The facilities are outdated and certain details are not taken care of that considering the category and price of the rooms cannot be afforded. The bed is very hard and noisy, the room has a musical thread that according to what we were informed in the hotel was not working for years. The air conditioning was not working either. In addition, the bathroom with bathtub should have a full screen and they have fixed the mess with a white fabric curtain. It is unthinkable that in a hotel of such category they do not take care of those details. The soaps in the bathroom do not duplicate them in the double rooms, nor did they replace them the next day, which they should not neglect either. The hairdryer is another detail to be improved and if we talk about the views of the room, it was a brick wall. In short, the hotel is not worth the price you pay or the category.

Many sights are just a few steps away.

Being situated in Barcelona makes for a lovely setting.
-
The place is a short walk to many Audi buildings.
-
One of the concierges, Mierca, was excellent. Professional & welcoming.
Small issue only, Room 101 had torn carpet and one of the bathroom electrical points was hanging from the wall. It felt a little like the room where 'discounted' customers get put.
-
Staff were great, room was fabulous with lovely views.
Breakfast over - priced at 25 Euros. We ate breakfast nearby for half the price
-
Very nice hotel in an excellent location and a historic building. Very friendly staff and excellent shopping in the heart of Barcelona.
Rooms are a bit small.
-
Location is certainly the best thing about the hotel!
The lobby, cafe, corridors and rooms all seemed to be dark and not very inviting!
-
We've appreciated a lot the amazing atmosphere, arhitecture and decoration of the hotel.
-
We loved both the exterior and interior design. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Whilst it is at the top end of the passeig de gracia, which meant we walked a lot, this location made it possible to see a lot more of Barcelona than we possibly would have done if we had stayed closer to the seafront. The roof top area allows a wonderful view both day and night. The rooms are extremely clean and spacious. Overall, a luxurious stay.
We stayed for four nights and would have loved to have spent longer in the later evening at the roof top bar. Unfortunately, a small glass of white wine and a beer cost 20 euros, so we managed only one drink at the end of the evening! Also, the pool is the size of a spa that would sit about 10!
